My 1 TB External Hard Drive Got Delivered Yesterday! 1/8/09
8:51 Am
Alright, I ordered the hard drive Tuesday 1/6/09, and got it yesterday 1/8/09.  Extremely fast shipping.   Why?  Well, first of all, new egg would not let me choose a longer and cheaper shipping plan than $11.  I was pretty mad about that (my first new egg buy), and I live in California, where the item ships from.

Now, a little more info on the hard drive:

Alright, thats the hard drive, here is the specs/info on it:

"
The Fantom G-Force drives provide a lot of storage at a reasonable price. Plus they offer both USB 2.0 and eSATA connectivity for high speed data transfers. The eSATA connection transfers data at a blazing fast 300MB/s so data will move on and off the drive as soon as you click "save".

The GF1000EU has a 1TB SATA drive that spins at 7200RPM with a 16MB buffer for extreme performance. The drive will work on PCs with Windows 2000 and newer and Macs with OS X 10.2 or higher.

Alright, WHY NO UNBOXING????

I did try to record an unboxing, I made the video and everything, when gay ol' Windows Movie Maker crashed on me while rendering the video.....SO LAME!!

So sorry about that.  I was hoping to release a video on it.   If you guys want a video of it (just like a video view of it)  let me know.  8)  I'm thinking about doing that.

So far, this hard drive is pretty nice.  It's small (about the size of 3 dvd cases put together), quiet for the most part, solid case, and it has a good weight to it.  This thing is better than getting a cheap old plastic hard drive.  The metal casing helps cool the hard drive...which is nice.
